"After 12 years at my desk job, I often woke up with aching hands. Two weeks with the TriWave and I’m finally sleeping through the night. It really helped ease the discomfort and made a noticeable difference in how my hands feel."
Earth & Ivory Horse-Hair Bamboo Toothbrush (4 Pack)
You got plastic out of everything but your toothbrush.
The one thing you actually put in your mouth, twice a day.
Glass containers. Filtered water. Clean deodorant. You've swapped out almost everything.
Except your toothbrush. Those bristles are nylon. Petroleum plastic, against your gums, every time you brush. Every stroke sheds a little more plastic into your mouth. The handle was never the problem. The bristles are.
Real horse hair is the swap that finally counts. Soft on sensitive gums. Teeth polished smooth. Nothing plastic near your mouth. The low-tox swap that finally feels as clean as it sounds.
Everything a natural brush should be
Real horse hair, not nylon
The bristles are actual horse hair. No petroleum, BPA, phthalates, or PFAS. Nothing plastic touches your mouth, so there are no microplastics to shed into it while you brush.
Soft on your enamel and gums
Horse hair is softer than boar, the stiff natural bristle that can scrape at enamel. It polishes your teeth clean without the roughness. Gentle enough for sensitive gums every morning.
It won't fall apart in your mouth
A denser weave and a locked base hold the bristles in place. No loose, scratchy hairs, and no brush that sheds itself to pieces after a week.
That just-cleaned feeling, every morning
The dense, soft bristles leave your teeth polished and smooth. Run your tongue across them after you brush and you'll feel it.

Why plastic bristles are the problem
The bristles on a standard toothbrush are nylon, a petroleum plastic. And brushing wears them down.
Peer-reviewed research has measured it. Conventional nylon bristles shed tiny plastic particles into the mouth during normal brushing, roughly [VERIFY: 30 to 120 particles every time you brush]. [VERIFY: cite one study, e.g. Microchemical Journal, 2025.] A bamboo handle doesn't change this. If the bristles are nylon, they shed like any plastic brush.
Earth & Ivory bristles aren't plastic. They're real horse hair, a natural fiber. Nothing petroleum-based to break down means no microplastics to shed into your mouth. Not fewer. None.
That's the whole reason we made it.

That's the #1 reason people quit them — and why we built the bristle lock. A denser weave and secured base hold the bristles. You may see one or two settle in the first days; then it stops. It won't fall apart on you.
That warning is about boar hair, which is stiff. Ours is horse hair — noticeably softer. It cleans and polishes without scraping. It's the natural brush for sensitive teeth and gums, not against them.
Only if it has to lie flat in a puddle. Ours stands upright on a sealed base and dries between brushes, so it stays fresh.
Plastic toothbrush bristles are nylon, and they wear down as you brush. Research has found they shed microplastic particles into the mouth over. Ours have no plastic to shed, so with this brush it's simply a non-issue. And if you're skeptical of the whole topic, that's fair. It's still a better brush on feel, shedding, and drying, so either way you come out ahead.
Fair, and we won't pretend otherwise: the bristles are real horse hair.
Actually the opposite. People brushed with natural bristles for centuries before plastic existed. We just made a version that holds up, backed by the guarantee.
